KGOS had the honor of touring the new Torrington Police station.  We were escorted by Sergeant Giles whom took us through the large facility.

We asked him about the differences between the old facility and this new department.

Standing in the Dispatch center you’re amazed of the new technology. 

Having the 2 stations with 6 panel screens helps you understand the intensity of what this station does.

Keeping track of so many things in one place will help them do there job in a more efficient manner.

Dispatcher Kraig Murphy also wanted to explain Wyerlink.  A new system they will be using.

Thank you to the Torrington Police Department for showing us there new facility.  We want to wish them a Happy New Year.

This will prevent someone leaving that has had too much to drink.
