We spoke to Chief Billy Janes of the Torrington Police Department yesterday.  He wanted to tell us about the Bob Asbury Dare Golf Tournament.  Every year the first weekend in August there is a Golf Tournament to raise money for school scholarships and this is the result of that tournament.

CodeRed high speed notification system had a new feature.  The Weather Warning. 

When weather warning (not watches) are issued CodeRED Weather warning automatically alerts affected citizens in the path of severe weather just moments after the warning has been issued.  There is no charge for the weather warning services or the CodeRed service.

If you would like to have the weather warning feature or if you don’t currently have the CodeRed warning system, you must sign up for it.

Go to – www.GoshenCounty.org and click on the CodeRed information then go to Community Notification Enrollment.

You must fill in all the required fields and then proceed to the weather warning box.   – This box must be checked if you would like the weather service.  – those of you who have signed up before, the weather Warning is a new feature and you must opt-in for this if you would like the Weather Warning feature.
