Evans Gets Prison Sentence

Torrington, Wyo. (Story by Denise Heilbrun-Ellis) April 29, 2021 — Christine Evans, 36, took a plea deal offered by the state, pleading guilty to the charge of felony possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) with intent to deliver, in Eighth Judicial Court in Torrington.

Camp Guernsey Conducts Big Game Survey

Guernsey, Wyo. (RELEASE from WYARNG) April 28, 2021 — The natural resource staff at Camp Guernsey conducted the annual big game flight on April 7, 2021. The flight allows natural resource staff to get an annual snapshot of the number of animals in the area, as well as see how they are distributed across Camp Guernsey.

Torrington, Wyo. April 20, 2021 — The Torrington Police Department is actively investigating a homicide, arson, and vehicle theft in the community that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Pursuit Ends In Downtown Torrington

Torrington, Wyo. (RELEASE from WHP) April 19, 2021 — Around 6:45 p.m., a Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) Trooper attempted to stop a Ford F-150 for speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone around milepost 68 on US 85.  The driver of the Ford failed to stop and fled north on US 85. 

Lind Agrees To Plea Deal

Torrington, Wyo. (Story by Denise Heilbrun-Ellis) April 13, 2021 — Matthew Lind of Torrington agreed to a plea agreement with the State of Wyoming, along with his attorney Mitch Guthrie. His jury trial was to begin Wednesday, April 14.

2021 WESTCO Scholarship Winners

EWC To Hold In-Person Class This Fall
