Torrington, Wyo. January 9, 2020 — Area high school students will soon have a new option for an extracurricular activity with the Wyoming State High School Clay Target League.

Local residents Mary and Sean Howe couldn’t understand how the state shoot was held in Torrington, and Torrington didn’t have a shooting team! They took it upon themselves to gather information and figure out how area schools could get a team started.
The first step was taken when Southeast approved target shooting as a school club, and they named Sean Howe as the head coach. After taking the necessary steps a team was created in Southeast, and any student in grades 6-12 in Goshen County can join.
The final goal is to compile 3 clay target shooting teams for each high school in Goshen County, but they need more individuals to help out. You can contact the Howe’s at (307) 575-3472, and check out the Wyoming State High School Clay Target League’s website at wyclaytarget.com
