Break-ins at three Torrington businesses are under investigation

According to Undersheriff Jeremy Wardell with the Goshen County Sheriff’s Department, it was reported that Orr’s Alignment, Olson Tire and Westco were all broken into either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

“We are investigating the possibility that these break-ins are related,” said Wardell.

Larry Orr, owner of Orr’s Alignment confirmed that his business had been broken into.  He stated that on the morning of Wednesday, February 21st, a customer pulled up to the shop in the morning before business hours to find the front door unlocked and the office torn apart.  The customer called the Torrington Police Department right away.

“No tools were taken; the only thing missing was $300 cash,” said Orr.

Orr went on to explain that footprints found in the snow show that the perpetrator walked over from the TransWest Ford parking lot, entered the garage at the side door, shut the power off, cut the internet and cable lines and unplugged the security cameras. They then exited using the front door.

Undersheriff Wardell stated that the Goshen County Sheriff’s Department and the Torrington Police Department are working together to follow up on leads.
