Goshen COVID-19 Update

Torrington, Wyo. (RELEASE from Goshen County Public Health) November 16, 2020 — Goshen County Public Health Officials have been notified of ONE HUNDRED-THIRTY-TWO (132) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 Cases between November 9th and November 16th, 2020.

 

 

​CASES REPORTED: Due to the increase of positive cases, these reported numbers reflect males, females and all age groups from the ages of 5 through 100+ years of age.

Place of residence include Yoder, LaGrange, Lingle, Fort Laramie and Torrington WY. T​HIS CURRENTLY BRINGS GOSHEN COUNTY TO: Three Hundred-Sixty-Eight (368) cases:

 

Active cases: ​Two Hundred eighty-eight (288)

 

Probable: Thirty-eight (38)

 

Covid-19 related deaths: Six (6)

 

Due to the rapid increase of positive COVID-19 cases in Goshen County and throughout the State of Wyoming, contact tracing may be delayed.  Please follow these processes if you have tested positive for Covid-19, or if you have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case:  If you are a close contact to someone who tested positive to Covid-19 when they have symptoms, or during the 48 hours (2 days) before they develop symptoms, you could become infected. Close contact includes: 

 

If you have been exposed, by these criteria, you should quarantine for 14 days. This means you need to stay in your home, not go to work or school and not go out in public or have any visitors in your home. You may need to contact the grocery store or a friend to drop off groceries or supplies to your doorstep. If you develop symptoms during that time, seek medical attention. 

 

If you have tested positive for Covid-19, you need to isolate in your home and away from family members as much as possible. You should follow the same guidelines listed above, for 10 days from the beginning of symptoms, or from the day the positive test was collected, if you are asymptomatic. You may leave only to seek medical care or to spend time outside on your property. You should isolate yourself as much as possible from asymptomatic persons living in the home.
