A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing occurred Thursday afternoon in Ft. Laramie.

According to Goshen County Undersheriff, Jeremy Wardell, on May 24, 2018 – at approximately 3:11 pm, Goshen County Deputies were dispatched to a reported stabbing in Ft. Laramie, Wyoming.  EMS personnel from Ft. Laramie and Torrington provided medical treatment to the victim, and he was transported by ambulance to Torrington Community Hospital.  The victim expired from injuries sustained in the incident.  His name is being withheld at this time until his family can be notified of his passing.

Goshen County Deputies arrested Jamie Snyder, age 26, of Ft. Laramie, Wyoming in connection with the stabbing.  Snyder was incarcerated in the Goshen County Detention Center.  The investigation is ongoing, and no other information will be released at this time.

The Goshen County Sheriff’s Office has received assistance with the investigation from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab and the Goshen County Coroner’s Office.
