An unnamed Torrington High School Student was arrested for allegedly making threats against the school.

February 28,2018 – In an email distributed Tuesday night by Superintendent of Goshen County Schools Jean Christoski, she states that threats have been made by a student on social media directed at Torrington High School for the past week or perhaps longer. She said the district has been working closely with local law enforcement and confirmed that the student making the threats was taken into custody.

The Tuesday evening arrest was made based on information provided by students, parents and staff.

“As a district we feel very strongly that it is not “ok” to make statements or to post pictures on social media that depict violence or threats to others, and they will be taken seriously,” Christoski said.
