Warrant Issued For Axe Wielding Torrington Man

Torrington, Wyo. (Story by Denise Heilbrun-Ellis) January 13, 2021 — A criminal warrant has been issued for a Torrington man, Alden John Hill, who has criminal charges pending from an incident that occurred on Dec. 11.

He is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to do bodily harm and a charge of battery.
In the Affidavit of Probable cause, Goshen County Deputy Matt Ringle and Undersheriff Doug Patrick arrived to meet with Edgar Vasquez. As officers approached, they saw Edgar and Pablo Vasquez standing by Edgar’s pickup and saw an axe behind it.
Undersheriff Patrick asked the men what had happened. Edgar stated that a man named “Jacko” hit him in the head with an axe, then pushed him down and started hitting him.
A short time later officers identified the subject as Alden John Hill.
Hill is described as a 46-yer-old white male, 5’11’’, 270 pounds, brown eyes, black hair.
